Every work on ART Index has been selected by our curator and reviewed under a five-dimension scoring methodology before it appears in the catalog. You're not browsing a feed — you're looking at a curated set, currently five artists and 15–25 works, each with full transparency: ART Index Score, tier, confidence level, technique, dimensions, and price.
Use the filters to narrow by style, medium, price range, or score tier. Or browse freely — the catalog is small enough to read, not scroll past.
Inquire
There's no shopping cart, no checkout flow. When a work interests you, click "Inquire to purchase." You'll fill out a short form: name, email, country, and any questions you have about the work, the artist, or logistics.
Alina, our curator, responds personally within four hours during business days (Kyiv time, GMT+2). She'll confirm availability, walk you through the artwork and its score, and clarify shipping options to your location. No automated replies.
Pay
Once you decide to proceed, we send payment instructions based on your country and preference:
- PayPal Business — US and EU buyers, USD or EUR
- SEPA bank transfer — EU buyers, EUR, zero domestic transfer fee
- Wise — International, low-fee alternative to SWIFT
- LiqPay — Ukraine-based buyers, UAH
Payment is completed before we begin preparing the work for shipping. We confirm receipt in writing within 24 hours.
Receive
Once payment clears, the artist prepares the work. We pack it in a custom wooden case with a double-walled outer carton and full insurance for international transit.
Estimated delivery times
- United States: 7–14 business days
- European Union: 3–7 business days
A tracking link is sent the day your shipment is picked up. A Certificate of Authenticity is enclosed with every work.
On arrival: inspect the package before signing for it. If anything looks damaged, photograph it and write to us at hello@art-index.gallery within 24 hours. We'll handle it.
Frequently asked questions
Apply
Applications to ART Index are currently invite-only. Our first cohort of five artists was selected through direct outreach by our curator.
We plan to open a public application process in our fifth month. If you'd like to be considered before that, send your portfolio and a brief artist statement to hello@art-index.gallery with the subject line "Artist application." We review all submissions and respond within two weeks.
There is no fee to apply.
Curation review
Every artist is reviewed by Alina, our curator, and scored under the ART Index five-dimension methodology. We look at:
- The consistency and depth of your practice over time
- Your exhibition and career record
- The completeness and quality of your documentation
- Where you stand relative to peers at similar career stages
We don't score based on follower counts or engagement metrics. A coherent, well-documented practice scores well even without institutional affiliation yet.
Artists who reach our minimum threshold (ART Index Score of 40 or above) are invited to list works. Artists below the threshold receive their score and a written explanation of what would need to change — so you can decide whether to develop your application further.
Photo session
Photography is the primary interface between your work and the collector. Before any work is listed, we agree on photo standards together.
What we require
- High-resolution images of each work — minimum three views per piece: straight-on, a close detail, and a scale reference
- Accurate color — no filters, no stylized edits
- Clean, neutral background
What we provide
- A specific shot list and lighting guide
- Review of photos before listing, with feedback if retakes are needed
- Accurate color-matching guidance
For artists in Kyiv, we can help arrange a shared studio photo session. For artists elsewhere in Ukraine or abroad, the shot list and guide are provided remotely, and we review your photos before approving them for listing.
Pricing & score
You set your prices. We review them for market alignment.
Your ART Index Score informs that conversation — specifically Dimension 2 (market performance) and Dimension 5 (cultural and investment momentum) reflect what comparable artists at your tier are pricing. We share that data openly.
Your score is published on your artist profile and on every work you list. Before anything goes live, you see the full score breakdown: all five dimensions, all sub-metrics, with written justification for each expert-judgment score.
If you disagree with any score, there is a formal review process: provide additional documentation, we review within seven business days, and if new data changes the score, it updates publicly.
Sales
ART Index takes a 20% commission on each completed sale. You receive 80% of the sale price. There is no listing fee, no subscription, no upfront cost. We earn only when you sell.
